Tom Iglehart, filmmaker, got permission from Olaf Sickmann to use music from DIFFERENT DRUMS on a short film documentary to go with my nationally distributed, and highly praised, memoir - Racing My Father, Growing Up with a Riding Legend. The music - espec. the drums early on - fits the horse racing theme perfectly. Now, I'd like to put the film on my books website - Racingmyfather.com, but first I'd like to get permission. I could mail you a CD of the movie with the music. Love your music. Hope to hear from you soon as we can't post the movie without the music, for tech reasons. Whilst touring in Donegal and particularly Molville last August (07), we pulled into town just as DDRoI was playing a set on a stage for the locals that weekend. We were nearly overcome with the heartfelt beat of those amazing drums. Ric tried to get out of the car before it was stopped and I nearly crashed trying to get the damned thing parked. . . Needless to say, it was one of those primal callings that only celtic music can muster!! YOU MUST SEE AND LISTEN TO THIS BAND! !band! ! ! |

Nice new web site. My wife and I work the bank operation at Milwaukee Irish Fest every year and always enjoy visiting with you folks and catching parts of your performances. We are really disappointed that you will not be here this year.
I am anxious to hear your new cd. Sounds like it will be brilliant.
We are coming to Northern Ireland for a wedding on August 2nd. Landing in Dublin on the 28th of July and staying in Omagh from then to the wedding. We are looking forward to the trip.
